#NRG19 Health Disparities Committee Workshop

Dr. Karen Walker from the NIH was the speaker at the recent Health Disparities Committee Workshop held during the NRG Oncology Semiannual Meeting in Philadelphia. This session was recorded and slides and video are now available to view on the NRG Oncology website (login req'd).

NRG Mentorship Working Group Update

Are you a new CRA or CTN within NRG Oncology? Would you like a mentor to help guide you through your new role as a CRA or CTN? Are you an institution in need of more guidance after an audit? The Mentorship Working Group can provide you a mentor! You can apply for a mentor by going to the NRG Oncology website at www.nrgoncology.org and click on the NURSES & CRAs tab, then select Mentorship Program. NRG Oncology at the NCTN Plain Language Workshop

A member of the NRG Oncology Communications team and Patient Advocate Committee Member and former Committee Chair, Mary Scroggins, recently attended the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Clinical Trials Network (NCTN) Plain Language Workshop in Chicago, IL. During this workshop, attendees from the five NCTN groups, representatives from NCI, and consultants worked together to develop a template for short, patient-centric summaries, or snapshots, of open NCI clinical trials in order to promote interest and education. More information forthcoming as the groups work on finalizing this template document.
