We hope you can join us for the NRG Oncology Semiannual Meeting, July 18-20, 2019, at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown in Philadelphia, PA. Pre-Registration for this meeting is complimentary for all NRG members who pre-register by the deadline of June 25, 2019. We kindly ask that everyone please pre-register for this meeting before the deadline. Onsite registration will incur a $100 fee.

    NRG Oncology will be holding a workshop at the NRG Semiannual Meeting related to improving statistical methods to meet study goals, analyzing longitudinal PRO data as well as a panel discussion with NCORP PIs. NRG Oncology will be holding an information session for NRG-BN006:  A Phase II/III Randomized, Open-Label Study of Toca 511, A Retroviral Replicating Vector, Combined with Toca FC with Temozolomide and Radiation Followed by Adjuvant Temozolomide and Toca FC Compared to Temozolomide and Radiation Followed by Adjuvant Temozolomide in Patients with Newly Diagnosed Glioblastoma on Friday, July 19, 2019 from 10:30-11am ET. OTHER PROTOCOL NOTICES

1. BREAST

NRG-BR002

The Kuhn-Hicks laboratory at USC will be closed Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th in observance of Independence Day. Please reschedule all draws for Wednesday, July 3rd due to our inability to receive samples on the 4th. Our office will resume processing samples Monday, July 8th. For all questions or concerns, please contact Xiomara Villasenor at xvillase@usc.edu.

 

The Lucci laboratory at MD Anderson will be closed from July 3-7, 2019. Staff will return to the lab and able to process CTC samples on Monday, July 8. Samples will be accepted on Tuesday, July 2, but not Wednesday, July 3. If any samples are drawn on Friday, July 5, 2019, they can be shipped for Monday delivery and will be processed at that time.  The CTC samples are stable for 96 hours at room temperature.

JULY 4th HOLIDAY CLOSURES
The NRG Oncology Operations Offices, Statistics and Data Management Centers (SDMCs), Biospecimen Banks, Serum Bank and McKesson's Clinical Research Services will be closed on Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. The Philadelphia East Operations Office will also be closed on Friday, July 5. DR. CURRAN PRESENTS PLENARY LECTURE AT KOREAN CANCER ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING

Walter J. Curran, Jr., MD, an NRG Oncology Group Chair and Director of the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, recently delivered a plenary lecture, titled "NRG Oncology, an international US NCI-supported cancer research group," at the Korean Cancer Association's Annual Meeting and International Cancer Conference held in Seoul, South Korea.
